Jennifer is an author, professional keynote speaker, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), a professional business and life coach, and an entrepreneur. She has had articles featured in Thrive Global, UP Journey, and Authority Magazine. Jennifer earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University, specializing primarily in couples therapy using techniques from Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Systems model. She also specializes in Trauma Counseling using approaches based around EMDR.
She is a Registered Clinical Supervisor in Idaho, and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). As a supervisor she has successfully helped new counselors and graduate level Interns successfully achieve their licensure status in the State of Idaho.
Jennifer opened Family Counseling Services in Meridian, ID in 2008, and has since opened a second location in Boise. Jennifer opened Family Counseling Services in Meridian, ID in 2008, and has since opened a second location in Boise. The agency is focused on providing compassionate, ethical care to both their clinical and community clients. One of the qualities that Jennifer is really passionate about and what she attributes to her success is putting a high value on staff cohesion and satisfaction, as well as providing quality client care. Her view of client care is that if the staff feel supported and have what they need to do their job, the quality of client care and services will be greatly and positively impacted resulting in growth for the client, the staff, and the agency.
Jennifer has led many seminars around topics in the helping professions. She is a proud mom of two teenage children and in her free time enjoys traveling the world, attending live concerts, going to museums, and hiking.
Based on the book by Jennifer Michelle, The Light Bulb Effect, this seminar is directed towards allowing those that typically teach self-care to others, experience it themselves.

Based on the current ACA Code of Ethics, this 1–3-hour presentation dives into ethical dilemmas and how to apply the ACA code to difficult situations.
Providers will learn about Play Therapy Theories and how to apply them to sessions with clients from the ages of 4 years of age through adulthood. Providers will receive the opportunity to practice different play therapy techniques during this seminar.
This 5-to-15-hour class will teach the foundation of theory-based supervision. Participants will learn how to develop their Supervisor Informed Consent, documentation templates, and overall approach to be able to work with other Professionals through offering Supervision.
